Golfers Travel to Wilmington for Landfall Tradition

DURHAM, N.C. – Riding a movement of winning a group pretension during a Tar Heel Invitational reduction than dual weeks ago, a fifth-ranked Duke women’s golf group will conduct to Wilmington, N.C., to contest in a 2015 Landfall Tradition Oct. 23-25 during a 6,157-yard, standard 72 Pete Dye Course located during a Country Club of Landfall.

Along with Duke competing in a eventuality will be Alabama, Clemson, Elon, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina, NC State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Purdue, South Carolina, UCF, UNC Wilmington, Virginia and Wake Forest.

The contest will underline 18 holes played any day for a sum of 54 holes over 3 days of action.  

Duke will transport with a lineup that facilities dual National Players of a Year with Leona Maguire and Celine Boutier, a reigning WGCA selections.  Along with Maguire and Boutier, a Blue Devils will have youth Sandy Choi, sophomore Gurbani Singh and beginner Virginia Elena Carta.  Sophomore Lisa Maguire will make her 2015-16 entrance as an individual.  

This will symbol a eighth entrance in a Landfall Tradition with a Blue Devils formerly claiming a pretension in 2009.  

Duke is entrance off carding rounds of 285, 293 and 289 for a sum of 867 during a Tar Heel Invitational to win by 13 strokes.  Leona Maguire birdied holes 16 and 17 entrance in to explain her fourth particular pretension of her career as she notched rounds of 69, 72 and 71 for a four-under-par, 212.
